I am dedicated to bringing you the best personal training in music as possible. As a private lesson student, you need to be aware of and committed to following the policy:

 

Philosophy:

It is my philosophy that private instruction and practice is the foundation of good musicianship and in order for a student to succeed they need to commit to lessons and practice.   I carefully carve out a weekly schedule that needs to be upheld and respected by the student.    

 

Student Drop Off & Pick Up:

Parents are responsible for escorting students to and from lessons, and are required to stay with the student until the lesson begins, and to pick up the student immediately after the class/lesson ends. I am not responsible for children left unattended before or after lessons.

 

Injury and Limitations of Liability: I am not liable for personal injuries/ loss/ damage to personal property.

 

Lesson Cancelation Policy: I request that you give me 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your child’s lesson for any reason. Lesson fee is charged if canceled the same day. No lesson fee will be charged if you miss due to illness or family emergency. Any missed lessons due to teacher absence or weather conditions will be made up.

Attendance Policy: A regularly scheduled lesson means that you are responsible for your time slot. Please contact me as early as possible (at least 24 hours in advance) to let me know if you are not able to make your scheduled lesson time. You will not be charged for lessons missed due to illness or emergency. You will be charged for lessons missed for the following unacceptable cancellation circumstances:
-Forgetting a lesson.
-Last minute social plans or other conflicts.
-Inadequate notification of an acceptable conflict.
-Birthday parties or other social events. (If a lesson falls on a student’s birthday I am happy to reschedule that week’s lesson, with at least one week notice).

 

Withdrawal: I ask for one weeks paid notice, during which time you may continue taking lessons or simply withdraw.

 

Student Code of Conduct: Students are expected to arrive for lessons on time and be prepared to participate. Students who behave in a manner that is disruptive or distracting to the lesson will be asked to sit out. Students exhibiting dangerous or destructive behavior will be removed from their lesson and a parent will be notified.

Parents are welcome to sit-in on lessons at any time.
